Peelply is typically a woven nylon or polyester fabric that is laminated to the non tool surface of the composite part. The peelply absorbs excess resin and imparts a textured finished to the surface when removed, which minimises surface preparation before secondary bonding. The peelply can remain on the part, protecting it against further contamination, until bonding or painting. Typically 80-90 gram per square meter peelply is used for secondary bonding, with light weight 60 GSM peelply used as a finish ply for painted surfaces. It is essential that the peelply fabric is heat set to prevent shrinkage during cure and scoured to remove the lubricants used in weaving, which would otherwise contaminate the secondary bond.

Designed for both hand lamination and vacuum infusion process. The peelply fabric is used to assist in sanding/grinding of the laminate.
